āļø Focus (Core Tracks): Rather than strict deep-tech tracks, they are looking for early-stage startups with a clear problem, a credible solution, and the ambition to build something highly scalable. Special interest is given to:
Research-to-Business: Teams commercializing an innovation or new, science-based technology.
Scalable Innovations: Broadly open to diverse fields (previous highlights in the region include AI, HealthTech, Life Sciences, and industrial solutions).
Student-Led & Early-Stage Teams: Startups preparing for launch, validation, growth, or seed funding.

Startup Growth Package: The winning team takes home a comprehensive prize package including a cash prize, expert mentoring, and practical support from regional ecosystem partners.
Free Access & Pitch Prep: Selected pitching teams receive free entry to the Summit (saving on the ticket cost) and an exclusive invitation to a pre-event pitching workshop to sharpen their narrative.
Elite Matchmaking & Visibility: You pitch live on the main stage (3-minute pitch + 3-minute jury feedback), securing direct, unfiltered exposure to investors, business angels, and corporate partners looking for new opportunities.
ā Who can apply?
Target Group: Early-stage startups and teams from anywhere. You do not need to be based in Kuopio or Eastern Finland, but you must be able to attend and pitch in person.
